In Dec 1998, when I was as a student in Brisbane, Australia, I saw a very realistic bear in a big teddy bear supplier's window. I stopped because it was such a realistic and unique wild bear. The shopkeeper lady knew me as I purchased teddy bear making items from her. She told me that "it is made by a Singaporean called Alicia Quek who fell in love to sew teddy bear in Perth in 1995. While completing her matriculation programme, she bravely switch the course of her future. " I really wanted to own that bear but as a student, I couldn't afford almost AUD S$1000.

Alicia's bears are not only realistic but also very adorable. "Irresistible to fall in love with Alicia's bears". Most importantly, Alicia Quek is a Multi National Award Artist-World Artist and she also the 1st Singapore Professional Teddy Bear Artist.

"Hello Friend". Village Bear's exclusive Panda from Fabian Song is 14" tall One-of-a-kind exclusives!

Fabian Song is a Singaporean. However, he is a Multi International Teddy Bear Winner - World Artist. He is also being invited to overseas for being a judge for Teddy Bear competition. Fabian's unique 6 piece suede air brushed paw pads are very unique.

Years back, I was passing by a shop called Jacky's Teddy Bear @ Park mall, Singapore. I was very amazed as I recognised Fabian Song's panda bears were in their display window. Wow..... they were wonderfully handcrafted from supreme quality fur which as supreme as workmanship of the bears. I though that I may able to afford one as I was no longer a student. mmmh.... if I not remember wrongly, the price was S$1500 and another one-couple (mother panda & cub) price was S$3500. All had been adopted.

Crochet bear artist

In Singapore, there is another group of bear artists who handmade very adorable of Crochet bears which are made out of thread.

Most of crochet bears are fully jointed (No movable head, legs & hands). Crochet bear can be in different designs and materials such as cotton thread, Mohair thread, Punch thread & etc…..
